  • Athletic Clearance

    In order to compete in the state of CA, all student athletes must setup an account and complete any paperwork required at this site. Directions are below with additional links to paperwork that will need to be completed by a physician.

    1. Click the button below. Then click on CALIFORNIA map icon.

    2. “Create an account” and fill in required information. Click Submit when finished. *Be sure to remember your username and password for future use.

    3. Retrieve verification code. Enter code. Click submit.

    4. Click on “Start Clearances Here”.

    5. Select the school year. Select your high school, Crescenta Valley High. Select sport. Click submit when finished. At the end, you will have the option to click multiple sports.

    6. Enter all required information. Click save when finished.

    *You will need to upload the following 3 pages

      All 3 are available on the Clearance page. Physical NEEDS the doctor’s signature & stamp on it. Physicals with missing office stamp will be denied. Release of Liability form must be printed out for a wet signature, then uploaded. Electronic signatures will not be accepted.

    7. Answer all yes or no questions. If the answer is yes to any question, type a brief description of the issue. Click save when finished.

    8. Enter other required info. Click submit when finished.

    9. Read boxes and add all signatures for guardian and student. Click submit when finished.

    10. Once you reach the confirmation screen the online clearance process is complete.

    11. A confirmation email will be sent to you once the page is reviewed and the student

    is fully cleared.

    This must be completed each school year.

  • Dues and Donations

    A $250 donation is expected for each athlete. This covers the additional coaches we hire (outside of the two GUSD allows us), meet entry fees, uniforms, and equipment. We are a 501c3 and all dues are tax deductible. Our tax ID is 95-4393057. Additionally, if your employer matches donations, we’d be more than happy to supply you with a receipt of payment.

    If you are paying via Venmo, our Treasurer’s account is: Erin-Becker-30. If Paypal, please add an additional $10 to offset the fees we are charged.

    If you would like to write a check, please make it payable to CVHS Track & Field Booster Club. It may be given to Coach Rob Evans or mailed to our Treasurer, Erin. Please email Booster President for address.

  • Mammoth 2024

    Every year, the coaches take a select group of athletes to Mammoth, CA for altitude training. This year, we will be going up August 2nd -August 9th, 2024. We camp, train daily, eat a ton of food, and hike the nearby the trails. Participation in the summer program, along with the athlete’s capacity to accomplish the training will be determined by the coaches in July.

    Athletes know it's important to hydrate, but most do not know how much they need. Determining your sweat rate is one of the most valuable ways you can improve your training. And calculating sweat rate is easy. Click below for a step by step tutorial on how to determine your fluid loss. This will tell you how much fluid (workout & post-workout combined) you should drink.

    There are many articles out there on the topic of sports nutrition, but it can be difficult to sift through them all to find useful, accurate information. Check out this article by Colorado State University nutrition scientists for an easy to understand approach to nutrition.

  • Feed Zone Cookbook

    he Feed Zone Cookbook provides 150 delicious recipes that even the busiest athletes can prepare in less time than it takes to warm up for a workout. With simple recipes requiring just a handful of ingredients, Biju and Allen show how easy it is for athletes to prepare their own food, whether at home or on the go. (Co-written by CVHS Cross Country runner Allen Lim.)

    Most of our meets will either be tracked by Finished Results or MileSplit CA.

    Finished Results allows you to track races in real time and see how your athlete finished. Download the app onto your phone.
